WHAT IS THE CORONAVIRUS
According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), the Coronavirus (COVID-19) disease is a new disease that causes respiratory illness in people and can spread from person to person. COVID-19 is a new coronavirus that has not previously been seen in humans. This virus was first identified during an investigation into an outbreak in Wuhan, China in late December 2019.
To continue to press toward becoming a Healthy and Vibrant church, we have decided to follow the guidelines from the Federal Government and the Center for Disease Control (CDC), which has strongly recommended limiting gatherings to only 10 people or less. As a result, we will suspend all church activities (with the exception of the Mt Pisgah Food Pantry Ministry) until further notice.
MT PISGAH FOOD PANTRY MINISTRY
We will provide weekly updates on when we will be open. Please check the Mt Pisgah Baptist Church Website or Facebook page for updates.
A HEALTH, VIBRANT CHURCH CONTINUING THE WORK OF JESUS CHRIST
We care deeply about protecting people and we believe it’s our duty to look after each other and those around us during challenging times such as these. We are closely monitoring COVID-19 and we are doing our part to protect our staff and church members and be a good community member. Together we can make a difference in love in this COVID-19 Crisis.
We will continue to monitor this pandemic and we should expect adjustments in how we move forward as a church body. Remember, God did not give us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and of a sound mind.
2 Timothy 1:7 (Amplified Bible)
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control].
Let’s trust God together, let’s remain transparent and let’s encourage one another.
Lamentations 3:22-23 (KJV)
It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
